To update your Wii console to the latest version, simply connect your console to the Internet and manually select "Wii System Update" from the Wii System Settings page. You can check the version of your Wii console by looking at the numbers on the top right corner on page 1 of the Wii System Settings page. The Datel disc was originally manufactured for the Game Cube, and allowed people to import titles from Japan or the US and play them on their PAL console. And up until now it had the same effect on backwards-compatible GC games played on Wii.Just so you know, this is my first instructable, so if i don't write some clearly don't mock it please.Have you ever wanted to play your favorite NES or SNES games on your Wii, or watch movies on your Wii? To do this, you will need: -A Wii -The latest system update (requires an internet connection) -2 SD Cards, at least 1GB in size (I only had one SD card so i used my Micro SD from my phone as the second card.) -A computer with internet and a SD card slot. You can still use online play, and all other wii features. If you do, you'll need to reinstall the software (the homebrew channel, DVDx, etc..) Other than that, if you know what your doing, you should be fine.of the Nintendo Wii and by that they are enabling you to play copied games (iso files from torrents) and alos original and "backup" wii isos released in other regions.
will this damage my wii if there is a mod chip inside it when i do this thanks akinich Scratch that, the chip is used to play backups and games from other regions like UK, etc...
On the wii, go to the SD card menu (the icon looks like a SD card), insert the card. As you have no homebrew installed right now, press home, and select "Exit to system menu" Remove the SD card. When you install this on your Wii, you can download homebrew apps straight to your wii! It takes a while to load up on the first run, but its worth it. You can download homebrew apps from the site and install them like you installed the browser too. i brought it modded as not too clued up, but have attempted to find it online but so many different ones!
When you want to quit, press Home, then select Reboot, or exit. im confused, please do you have a idiot proof guide!!
Nothing has to be changed in the guide, no steps have to be added or removed.
Anything you do while following the guide again will simply overwrite all your old stuff.
